“Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” (1 Peter 2.10)
The people of St. John’s recognize that we are not a perfect people. We are all sinners who have discovered that we no longer have to hang our head. We have met the author of mercy, Jesus Christ! Though we come from a variety of backgrounds, we have been created into one church by the grace God has shown us.
Because of our absolute gratitude for all that God has done for us, we can’t help but share with others! In all that we do, we want to share Jesus and the life-giving mercy that he gives to all who make him Savior and Lord of their life. Further, we want to do more than share him with our voices, we want to show Jesus with our daily lives. To this end, we are actively engaged in transforming our community, nation, and world.
